Ahhh the wedding.....

I have to start out by saying that my date was such a gentleman. We had such an Awesome time. Of course it did not start that way. Or at least preparation did not go that well. On Saturday I hung out at a friends store playing online games, but I swore I would come home by 3 to get ready to go to the wedding. Well that gives me almost 2 hours to get ready, not a problem right? Wrong. Not when you are dealing with me. I came rushing home and got into the shower. I figured I would sit around in a towel to do my nails so that I would not be damp trying to get dressed . Yeah well then I thought well I should at least put on my nylons before the nails so I don't rip them. Well apparently that did not matter because even without the nails I ripped them. Now who does not buy 2 pairs of nylons, so you have a back up? Yeah that would be me. I had no back up and had to run to the store. So now I have only 45 minutes to do my nails, get dressed, do my hair and makeup and take the dog out. Oh yes and get to the store to get more nylons. So as I am frantically running around town to get nylons, I am in a complete panic. I ended up calling Jim and telling him I would be a few minutes late, he was ok with that thank god.

So I did end up doing all that within 45 minutes, so I thought. I got to his house only to realize I forgot to put on my jewelry, forgot lipstick, my cellphone and a hairbrush. Oh my god, good thing my head was on tight because I would have forgot that too. So I borrowed his cell and then said I really didn't need the jewelry, lipstick or brush. So off to the wedding we went.

Well off to his parent we went. We stopped in at his parents house. They ended up being really cool people. So we had a drink with them and then off to the wedding we all went. Yeah I knew that this moment was too good, so what happens next? I burn a small pin hole in my dress with an ash from my cigarette. But that was the end of my dilemmas for the night. After that everything just fell into place. At first I felt kinda funny but in no time at all I was having a blast.

His entire family assumed we where a couple which he warned me would happen. But hey I don't have a problem with that. His uncle looks just like Mr. Six from sixflags. He even did the whole dance. It was funny. We ate, drank and danced and had the best time. He even twirled me and dipped me. I dipped him too. I think it opened up a whole new level to our friendship. We talked about things we never knew about each other. It was just great. After the wedding we went back to his parents, had one more drink and then went home. When I dropped him off he gave me a kiss goodnight and I went home. It was probably the best date I had ever been on. It shows me all men are not scum.

Guess where I am going this Saturday? To the family BBQ. Yes his family BBQ.
